— Saciova —

COVASNA COUNTY, ROMANIA

The first written mention of the village occurred in 1567, when it was recorded under the name Zachwa. In the medieval ecclesiastical organization, it likely belonged to the Sepsi district, which has been associated with the Reformed diocese since the 16th century. In 1921, along with eight other parishes, the parish of Saciova became part of the Orbai diocese. Previously, Egerpatak and Sepsimagyaros belonged to the mother church of Saciova. Currently, it administratively belongs to the village of Réty..

„… there were vast stretches of dense forests around the castle. Far from the village, regarding the castle mentioned in the Bodzafordulói Mountains, we can quote the opinion of today's archaeologists: "The castle of Szacsvai, about which we have no documented data or medieval archaeological finds from the area, can currently only be classified among the medieval castles of uncertain age and purpose."«.”
